MEDICAL
Highlights

Medical coverage is the cornerstone of your benefits program. It helps you to pay many types of medical care expenses, including prescription drug costs. Your medical plan options as of 1/1/2009 include the following:

  • Blue Cross Buy-Up PPO Plan
  • Blue Cross Basic PPO Plan
  • Blue Cross Health Choice Savings Plan

Blue Cross Blue Shield's Health Care Benefits Online is available to make it easy to access your health care benefits. Through hcbo.com you have the most current claims, coverage and copayment and deductible information at your fingertips. Click here to learn more about becoming a registered user.

Blue Cross offers The Health Risk Appraisal which is a comprehensive health questionnaire that identifies key health concerns. Once you complete the HRA, you’ll immediately receive valuable health information based on your responses. For more information on how to get started click here.

In Connecticut your choices are expanded to include the Cigna Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

See the Plan Comparison Chart for coverage details and the Benefit Cost Sheet for information about cost information for each available option.

Prescription Drug Coverage
You automatically receive coverage for prescription drugs through the Blue Cross Pharmacy Program when you enroll in one of the medical plan options. For those associates enrolled in the Cigna CT HMO, a separate ID card is provided by Blue Cross. For those associates enrolled in a Blue Cross medical plan, a separate ID is not issued as the information is obtained on the Blue Cross medical ID card.
