of Your Benefits |
Through the benefits we offer, Valassis constantly strives to meet
your needs. We offer you a variety of programs that address your health,
financial and family needs. Below is only a brief description of some
of the benefits available to you as a Valassis associate, provided you
meet the eligibility requirements of each benefit.
Medical
Under your medical plan, you have several options, including
the PPO Basic, Buy-Up and the Health Choice Savings plans. With each
plan, you also receive a prescription drug benefit.
Dental
Your dental plan consists of three options: the Basic plan, the Buy-Up
Plan and the Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO). Each of these plans
provides for your family's dental care.
Vision
We offer a voluntary vision care plan to associates.
Disability
Full-time associates (scheduled to work 37.5 or more hours a week) are
eligible for short-term and long-term disability insurance coverage
under Valassis' disability plan.
Life Insurance
There are several life and accident insurance options available
to you. These include basic life insurance, basic accidental death and
dismemberment insurance, voluntary life insurance and dependent life
insurance for your spouse, domestic partner and dependent children.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible spending accounts (FSA) provide a way for you to save
for qualified expenses on a pretax basis, saving you significant tax
dollars. You can cover health care expenses by enrolling in the health
care FSA, or you can cover dependent care expenses under the dependent
care FSA. In addition, when you join a dependent care FSA, Valassis
will match the first $600 you contribute, to help you pay your qualified
child or adult care expenses.
Investments
Investment plans for your financial future make up part of the
Valassis benefits program. We offer you 401(k) tax-deferred savings
opportunities through the Valassis Retirement Savings Plan. Roth 401(k)
after-tax deferred savings are also available. Another feature of this
plan is profit sharing contributions, which allow eligible associates
to share in the financial success of the company.
Paid Time Off
Valassis offers you generous time off plans. As an associate
you are eligible for vacation time, paid holidays and sick time.
